Frequently Asked Questions

  • When should I book a Celebrant?

No matter what event you are planning (wedding, naming day etc) it is important to book your celebrant as soon as your event date is set. This will ensure that you are booked into the schedule and will allow planning time for any important documentation to be prepared.

  • What do I bring to the first meeting?

Wedding - Please provide your Birth Certificate, Drivers License and Passport (if you have one).

For all other services, bring yourself and that is all!

  • How long should a service go for?

Weddings - The most preferred wedding length time for most couples is 30 to 45 minutes to allow for the legalities as well as some personalised words and fun! However, the timing is ultimately up to you, I can cater to your needs on all aspects of the ceremony.

  • Do we need to pay a deposit?

Yes, to secure your ceremony date a deposit will be required. The amount will differ depending on the service being provided.

  • Will you develop the script for the service?

Yes! I can develop a script for you based on conversations about what you prefer. The script can be completely guided by your personal style and preference!

  • When do we need to sign the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)?

A marriage shall not be solemnised unless a notice in writing of the intended marriage (NOIM) is provided by the authorised celebrant. The NOIM is required to be signed by the couple at least ONE month and ONE day, and not more than eighteen months before your proposed marriage.

I will arrange for the NOIM to be signed by you during planning meetings.
